On Monday, the children and adults in school were invited to wear odd socks to school to raise awareness for anti-bullying week. We discussed how we could be good friends and all the nice things we do for each other.
Some ideas included:

"Give them a hug if they are sad." Lilly
"Play with other people if they are feeling sad." John
"If you love people you are kind to them." Fabian
On Tuesday, it was smile day. We talked about the impact a smile can have on other people. Some children said it would make others happier or make them smile too. Lilly remembered our poem from National Poetry day about a smile, she said 'We catch a smile.'
On Wednesday, it was positive affirmation day. In class, we discussed how as well as being kind to other people around us. We could be kind to ourselves, making sure we are happy. Some ways of doing this could be, relaxing on the sofa, watching TV or having a bath.
On Thursday, it was E-Safety day. We talked about how we might use the internet in a safe way, to find out information or watch a video. We also discussed how the internet can not be safe. We discussed talking to strangers and making sure we go to a trusted adult for help if they are not sure about something. Trusted adults included parents, grandparents or teachers.
On Friday, it was Pudsey day and we raised money for Children In Need. We brought in lots of copper coins to make Pudsey's with.
