At Northwood Primary School we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Subsequently, we have developed a curriculum that has been carefully designed to foster a love of learning while promoting inclusivity, creativity, and the holistic development of each child. Through engaging in this curriculum, we hope that children will reach their full potential both academically, socially and emotionally.
We celebrate diversity and ensure that all children—regardless of background, ability, or need—have equal access to a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum. We actively promote a culture where differences are embraced, and every child feels a sense of belonging within our school community. To ensure that we cater to the needs of all children within our school, we aim to identify and remove barriers to learning and respond to any individual needs in order to allow children to succeed, regardless of the subject.

Reading is at the heart of our curriculum and subjects are enriched with high quality texts to engage and inspire our pupils. Not only this, through creative and engaging learning experiences, we encourage children to explore their passions, express themselves confidently, and think critically about the world around them. From the arts and sciences to physical education and technology, our curriculum invites curiosity and imagination at every stage.
Our approach to teaching and learning places equal importance on academic achievement and the social and emotional growth of our pupils. We equip children with the skills to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and develop resilience—all of which are essential for lifelong success and wellbeing.
At Northwood Primary School, we are proud to offer a curriculum that inspires minds, nurtures hearts, and opens doors to a bright and inclusive future.
